Work was non-stop from the time I got there. I barely had time to eat--not good under 24 hours before the marathon. But luckily, I was able to leave work a little early to head to the Armory on the other side of the city and pick up my race packet and my boss's race packet. (My boss is running the Half.) I got to see my girlfriend Cassie (also running the half) for a couple minutes at the expo, before heading back to work to drop off my boss's packet. I then swung by Vapiano to pick up some delicious carbo-loaded pasta (and to say a quick "hello" to my adorable super-crush bartender)and headed home.
Expect a full report on the race (and a couple of date-reports) asap! Here's hoping tomorrow will be a successful run. It's looking like it will be a very very chilly morning...
Good luck! We tried to go to Vapiano's last night too but it was WAY too crowded/noisy. Hope you enjoyed it :)
ReplyDeleteAwww, sorry you missed it. Did you go to the one on M St? It's a little less crowded than the one in Chinatown....and the bartender Ramone is adorable.
